Care Guide
Before Your Appointment
• Attend a consultation and suitability assessment as required.
• Complete all medical history, consultation and consent forms honestly and in full.
• Tell your practitioner about medications, allergies, medical conditions, recent procedures and any relevant changes in your health.
• Follow any treatment-specific preparation instructions provided by your practitioner, such as skincare, lifestyle or timing guidance.
• Contact the clinic before your appointment if you become unwell, or if you develop an infection, rash or irritation in the treatment area.
After Your Treatment
• Keep the treated area clean and handle it gently.
• Avoid unnecessary touching, rubbing or massaging of treated areas unless you have been specifically advised to do so by your practitioner.
• Follow the specific advice you have been given about exercise, heat, skincare, makeup and sun exposure, as recommendations differ between treatments.
• Use only the skincare products or routines that have been approved or advised by your practitioner for the immediate post-treatment period.
What to Expect
Depending on the treatment, you may experience mild and temporary reactions such as redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising. These usually settle over time, but they should not be assumed to be normal if they are severe, unusual for you, or getting worse.
Everyone responds differently to treatment and individual results and recovery times cannot be guaranteed. If you are worried about how you are feeling or how the treated area looks, please contact the clinic for advice.
When to Contact the Clinic
Contact Labisz Aesthetics promptly if you have concerns after treatment, if symptoms feel different to what you were expecting, or if they are worsening rather than improving. Do not wait for a routine follow-up appointment if you think something is wrong.
You can contact the clinic using the details provided on the Contact page of this website or via your usual booking or messaging method. If you are unsure whether something needs to be reviewed, it is always better to ask.
Emergency Guidance — Please Read
If you experience any of the following after treatment, seek emergency help immediately by calling 999 or attending the nearest emergency department, as appropriate:
• Difficulty breathing or swallowing
• Signs of a severe allergic reaction (such as swelling of the face, lips or tongue, widespread rash, or feeling faint or dizzy)
• Sudden visual changes or loss of vision
• Stroke-like symptoms (such as facial drooping, weakness on one side, difficulty speaking)
• Sudden widespread muscle weakness
• Collapse or feeling as though you may collapse
After dermal filler treatment, severe or increasing pain, or unusual blanching, mottled or dusky skin in or near the treated area can indicate a serious complication. Contact your treating practitioner immediately for urgent assessment.
If you develop visual symptoms (such as blurred vision, double vision or loss of vision) or neurological symptoms (such as severe headache, confusion or weakness), seek emergency hospital care without delay. Do not wait for a reply to a message or for the clinic to reopen.
This guidance does not replace individual medical advice. If you are unsure whether your symptoms are urgent, it is safest to seek medical assessment.
Individual Aftercare and Follow-Up
Aftercare varies between treatments. You will receive individual instructions for your specific treatment, either at your appointment or through your chosen consent platform. These personalised instructions take priority over this general guide.
Please follow the follow-up plan recommended by your practitioner and attend any review appointments that have been advised. If you are unsure what to do at any stage after treatment, contact your practitioner for clarification.
